The Corona Bali Protected stop number 5 on The 2018 World Surf League Championship Tour presented by Hurley has been called on in epic six – eight foot surf / 2 – 2.5 metre waves at Keramas Beach on Bali’s East Coast. Men’s Round 1 heats will kick off competition starting at 6.30 am local time, Round 2 will follow with Round 3 on standby. The Women’s Event has been called off for the day. As expected the swell shifted a little bit more South in direction overnight and we are starting to see more wave energy at Keramas.

This mornings standout heats to watch will be 2015 World Surf League Champion Adriano de Souza of Brazil take on 2018 World Surf League rookie Yago Dora from Brazil and tube master Sebastian Zeitz of Hawaii. Kelly Slater’s injury replacement surfer Hawaii’s Barron Mamiya will have his work cut out for him when he comes up against Top 10 surfer Italo Ferreira of Brazil. Another match – up to look out for will be current World number 2 rated surfer Filipe Toledo of Brazil, will take on local Indonesian wildcard surfer Oney Anwar from Sumbawa.
