World Surf League Day 3 Action From J – Bay, South Africa

Action continued at the Corona Open from J – Bay in South Africa at stop number 6 on the 2017 World Surf League Championship Tour Event as competition resumed in excellent conditions at J – Bay. Filipe Toledo from Brazil, was the day’s top performer and he stormed his way to victory with an incredible heat score total of 19.63 points out of a possible 20 points. Toledo claimed the first perfect 10 point ride of the competition with a long tube ride followed by two big turns.

Corona Open J-Bay

11 times World Surf League Champion and four time event winner Kelly Slater of the USA is assisted on the beach after sustaining an ankle injury free surfing at Boneyards. Slater is currently seeking medical attention and is scheduled to surf later in Round 3 at The Corona J – Bay open.
