Jordy Smith, South Africa has won The Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach yesterday after an electric performance in pumping six to eight foot surf / 2 – 2.5 metre surf conditions at the iconic Bells Beach in Victoria, Australia. Smith defeated Caio Ibelli, from Brazil in a classic showdown to close out the Australian Leg.
The third stop of The World Surf League Championship Tour, The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, is the longest running professional surf event in the world. This year’s 56th event saw a competitive field of elite surfers throw down their best performances with Jordy Smith earning the right to win the bell for the first time in his career.
