The 2017 World Surf League Championship Tour is officially underway with Round 1 of The Roxy Pro – Gold Coast called on at Snapper Rocks. Event officials placed competition on hold due to the high tides, and after seeing the conditions improve throughout the morning are pleased to kick off the event. A heat to look out for will be in Round 1 / Heat 4 when six time World Surf League women’s champion Stephanie Gilmour – Australia will battle Lakey Petterson from USA and new CT challenger Malia Manual of Hawaii.
